RE: Single Vehicle Crash US 23

He was driving alone? I am familiar with that part of 23. I'm going to get flamed for this...but I, personally would not allow my 81 year-old Father to haul a 30 foot trailer on the highway. Especially alone. I know that there are a lot of you "mature" RVers out there that are capable of driving and towing, but there are some 81 year-old drivers who should not even be driving a car.

RE: 2008 Jayco 23FB bugs

We had loose wire nuts underneath. They caused a short and blew the power system. The repair facility said that there could have been a fire, as the areas around the loose wires were scorched.

RE: MI- Family Camping rally, Memorial Day '09

I will have to give this one some thought. Does the campground fill up fast?

Low point drain?

Behind where it is labeled "low point drain," there is a valve. Should water come out of this valve? If it does, does that mean that I have a leak?

RE: Maxxair vent covers - have you used them?

I like them in the summer, but made a mistake of leaving one open in the winter. It kept things from blowing in, but melting snow leaked in the opening. I had to clean a cushion. Other than that, they work great.

RE: Seasonal Camping This Year

We have to maintain the "lawn" at our seasonal site, so we have a cheap lawnmower and weed-whacker.

RE: Michigan in the Spring

I got married the first week of April a few years ago. That night it snowed! But then again, I have also experienced 62-degree Christmases. One thing for sure, the ground will be wet. I usually get into my seasonal lot mid-April, and there is mud and standing water. Good luck.

RE: Anyone ever stay at Jellystone in Indian River, MI.?

We did not care for Mill Creek, but the Jellystone and TeePee Campground in Mackinaw fit our needs nicely.
